Details:
The 3R93 is a concentric knee joint with load-dependent brake mechanism weight activated locking and an optional function. The integrated extension assist spring can be optimally adjusted from outside, controls pendulum motion of prosthetic lower leg. The brake activates when load is applied to heel and stabilises prosthesis during entire stance phase. An integrated, adjustable extension assist spring controls the swing phase.
To initiate the swing phase, user relieves load on prosthesis which deactivates brake. When the locking function is permanently deactivated, knee stability achieved through brake mechanism that blocks joint in flexion direction under load. The braking action can be adjusted easily and reproducible. The 3R93 can be used as a locked knee joint with manual lock release and weight activated friction brake when locking function is activated, it secures in extended position.
The brake also offers desired security when stepping down with a slightly flexed knee joint. The user pulls on a cable to release joint so it can bend for sitting. If your looking for a reliable knee just backup or one to use as super light alternative, this would be perfect. This knee is used but in excellent condition.
The locking function can also be permanently deactivated.
